Experienced Sports Journalist and Broadcaster committed to getting the story

Philosophy

My philosophy of sports reporting is to provide the audience with the Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How of the event I’m covering. This means going out of my way to make sure I answer these questions so the listeners/readers are not forced to ask these questions of me.

As a journalist, I present myself in an unbiased manner using my professionalism, preparation and passion for sports to do the best possible job that I can.

Often times, I can be seen working 16-20 hours a day in order to keep improving. My goal is to describe the picture in the best way possible and to be the best broadcaster/reporter that I can be. Every day is a new opportunity to improve a weakness and turn it into a strength.

My reward is the work. I am thankful every day that I am blessed enough to be announcing in sports and doing what I love every single day.

Personally, I like to express this joy in my broadcasts with a positive outlook on the game and a look that is different from other broadcasters.

Part of doing this comes with talking to all players, coaches, owners, fans, concession workers and everyone involved. I’m telling a story and it’s great to have people along the way to share the tale with.
